Eupatorium mikanioides
Distinguishing Features: leaves are petiolate, heads with 5 flowers.
Habitat: open, wet areas.
Geographic Distribution : restricted to Florida.
Similar Species: Eupatorium serotinum also has petiolate leaves, but has 7-10 flowers per head.
Molecular Data: samples of E. mikanioides (DNA #s ) differ in the ITS sequence from all other species by a minimum of 17 bp changes.
